If you're an experienced Registered Nurse who enjoys leading shifts, making clinical decisions with confidence, and working alongside other skilled nurses, this opportunity at Bupa Sunset Care Home in Blockhouse Bay offers the scale, variety, and support that can be difficult to find elsewhere.
As a 122-bed care home, Sunset provides the advantages that experienced nurses value most. You'll work alongside a larger RN team, gain exposure across rest home, hospital, and dementia care services, and have opportunities to step into senior clinical responsibilities while helping develop and support caregivers and colleagues. The size of the home creates genuine clinical variety, allowing you to utilise your assessment, care planning, medication management, and leadership skills every day.
Hours & Roster Details:
- Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time
- Hours: Average 22 Hours Per Week
- Shift Time: Mix of 9am – 3pm and 10am – 4pm
- Roster Pattern: 4 shifts on, 2 shifts off (6-weekly roster across Monday - Sunday)
What you’ll need to make it possible
- Current Nursing Council of New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate
- NZ aged care experience preferred; other RN backgrounds considered
- Demonstrated improvements in care plans, assessments and documentation quality
- Identifies health changes early and acts to ensure safety
- Communicates effectively with residents, whānau, teams and providers
- Maintains clinical standards, accurate documentation and quality improvement
- Confident using clinical systems, records and reporting tools.
