Description & Requirements
Registered Nurse (Night Shift) | Full Time 32hrs | 4 on 2 off | Bupa Parklands Care Home
If you’re an experienced Aged Care Registered Nurse who enjoys the calm, focused pace of night shift and takes pride in running a shift with confidence, this is your opportunity to step into a role where your clinical judgement and independence are truly valued.
At our Bupa Parklands Care Home in Papanui, Christchurch, you’ll be the trusted clinical lead overnight, ensuring residents are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. This permanent full-time position offers consistent structure with an 11:00pm – 7:00am roster, working a 4 on / 2 off rotation (32 hours per week on average), giving you stability and a rhythm you can rely on.
This role is best suited to a nurse who brings proven aged care experience and can confidently manage the full scope of night shift responsibilities. You’ll be someone who is calm under pressure, able to make sound clinical decisions independently, and experienced in medication management, incident response, and recognising subtle changes in residents’ conditions. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll be responsible for clear documentation and effective handovers, while maintaining a high standard of care throughout the night.
If you value autonomy, consistency, and the opportunity to take ownership of your shift while making a meaningful difference in residents’ lives, this is a role where you can truly thrive.
