This is why Cedar Manor Care Home located in Tauranga is searching for a Laundry Worker to join the team and make a real difference to the lives of our residents. This is a permanent, part-time position working 144 hours across a 6 week rotating roster. Flexibility around working all shifts including some weekends is mandatory.
Where You Will Make an Impact
• Ensuring all care is taken with the residents' personal clothing and returned to owners.
• Operating all laundry equipment as specified.
• Meeting of daily schedule to keep laundry up to date and advising Manager of any issues that impact on the maintenance of this.
• Maintaining clean/dirty delineation areas within the laundry.
• Monitoring of linen supplies and advising line manager of replacement needs.
• Ensure all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
What About You
• Previous experience working in a commercial laundry is preferred, however not essential as we will provide training.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, enthusiasm, strong empathy, and a passion for making a difference to our residents’ lives.
• You will be a team player, with the ability to work independently, and who is prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into whatever needs to get done.
• Have reliable transport or travel arrangements.
• Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ.
