To enable this, Bupa’s Finance Operations function operates through a model that includes an offshore partner delivering non–customer-facing processes, supported by a retained team in A&NZ.
Our vision is for our offshore partner to operate as a true extension of Bupa, with onshore and offshore teams collaborating daily to deliver exceptional outcomes for our internal and external customers. The Finance Operations Officer will be responsible for delivering processes across Accounts Receivable and supporting the work completed by our offshore partner team. This role requires strong experience and subject matter expertise, with an expectation of cross-functional upskilling to support an agile, responsive and flexible operating environment.
How will you help?
- Proactively engaging with all departments to issue timely and accurate bills to the residents
- Handle customer account queries from residents and families (fees, charges, billing)
- Administration & management of in-house business transaction processes
- Identify & review system errors to improve business operation processes for analysis and database management
- Provide excellent customer service to all residents and/or their nominees for prompt resolution by taking accountability for the issue
- Provide high-quality, empathetic phone-based customer service
- Continually review the business processes, operations and billing strategies to re-engineer the cost structure to reflect operational best practice
What you’ll need to make it possible:
Proven experience in finance operations within a high volume, complex environment, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and hands-on experience in accounts receivable or billing. Experience in aged care billing or residential finance is essential. Familiarity with receivables systems (Epicor preferred) and intermediate Microsoft Office skills are also required.
A strong customer service orientation with a high level of empathy and focus on quality outcomes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly over the phone, combined with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, alongside the ability to work autonomously, solve problems, and investigate issues effectively.
