About the role
Joining Bupa NZ on a 1-year fixed term contract ending 20 Feb 2026, you will work with a leading, global healthcare company with over 4,000 staff across New Zealand. You will work in our Technology & Transformation team, reporting into our Head of Transformation.
This role offers WFH / hybrid working, based out of our Auckland Support Office with the team, or, in our Porirua office in Wellington.
Where You’ll Make an Impact
- Review and explore opportunities for systems and business process improvement.
- Prepare clear documentation outlining current and future state, clearly articulating business requirements, business processes, rationale for change, and estimated impact of proposed improvements.
- Engage with key business stakeholders to build understanding of current state and opportunities for improvement.
- As change initiatives are created, support the delivery of change, protecting the integrity of the agreed business requirements and assisting with the development of benefit realisation tracking tools.
- Challenge and ask 'why' to provide the best solution for the business and our customers.
- Support project and product delivery teams, ensuring they have clear understanding of business requirements and the change context.
- Conduct end to end testing and lead the preparation of test plans, subsequent user training, and documentation resources.
Skills and Experience Important for this Role
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst.
- Extensive experience with process mapping and applying conventions using MS Visio, Miro and/or Lucid Chart.
- Extensive experience in establishing and facilitating workshops for Discovery and elicitation of requirements at a senior stakeholder level.
- Extensive delivery experience working within cross-functional teams and delegation skills.
- Proven experience working with one or more project delivery methodologies - Hybrid, Waterfall and a Scaled Agile Framework.
- Proven business systems analysis skills and experience with ERP, CRM and HRIS systems.
- Demonstrated experience in liaising with business teams to define and document business requirements and performance measures that underpin business change programs.
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end technology projects, including requirements definition, solutions search & select and implementation.
- Typically requires a tertiary qualification in an IT discipline or related field.
- Ability to analyse business problems, identify technology and/or process solution options and make recommendations.
- Ability to work collaboratively, learn, grow, and adapt in this role.
