GP & Lead GP Urgent Care GP Opportunity – Townsville (Thuringowa Medical Centre)

Join a modern Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) with strong demand, excellent support, and high earning potential. This is a dedicated urgent care role ideal for GPs who enjoy fast-paced, hands-on medicine without the pressures of traditional general practice.

What’s on Offer
• $250–$275 per hour
• Flexible shifts – full-time, part-time or casual
• Set roster or ad hoc work – no lock-in contracts
• DPA & MM2 location (moratorium suitable)
• No overnight/on-call shifts
• Option to work in co-located private practice
• Free onsite parking

Structured & Supported Environment
• See triaged Category 4 & 5 patients only
• Clear clinical protocols and efficient workflows
• ED-trained nurses, full admin & IT support
• Consistent patient demand – reliable income without locum instability

The Role
• Manage urgent, non-life-threatening presentations
• Acute illness, minor injuries & procedures
• Deliver high-quality episodic care in a collaborative team

About You
• FRACGP / FACRRM (or equivalent)
• Unrestricted AHPRA registration
• ALS certification (preferred)
• Experience in Urgent Care, ED or Rural settings highly regarded
• Confident, patient-focused, and clinically autonomous
