The role purpose
At Bupa within our technology Health Services team, we are on a growth trajectory and as such have a new role available for a Technical Application Product Owner for Optical and hearing. You’ll be the person that connects the customer, the business, project delivery and BAU tech ops teams . You will be working with the key stakeholders in Optical & Hearing (BOH) and Healthcare centres (HC) to support and design applications, and with the delivery team and vendors to ensure application implementation according to best practice. Understand customer needs and the business' goals and actively collaborate with the business, BAU team and the stakeholders to make effective, local, and empowered decisions for the team.
What you’ll need to make it possible
• Tertiary qualification in an IT discipline or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial experience in managing off-the-shelf applications.
• Minimum 4+ years of Change and release management including life-cycle management.
• Minimum 3+ years of managing and working with Microsoft SQL Management.
• Experience vendor management, and enhancements.
• Experience in desktop technologies including virtualisation.
• Experience in designing and implementing ETL technologies and processes.
• Knowledge and experience about Platform as a Service (PaaS)
• Good understanding of software design principles and patterns.
• Good understanding of API and client-server environments.
• Good experience in monitoring and support complex enterprise applications.
• Demonstrated familiarity with multiple delivery methods including Agile and/or Waterfall, hence participating in identifying process, quality and system improvements, continuously learning new techniques, methodologies and technologies, stay abreast of new releases, functions and methods.
• Positive and supportive individual with a flexible, can-do attitude and ability to see the bigger picture.
• Proven experience in providing high quality service in Production support of applications.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with business stakeholders.
• Experience in managing Support requests and working in an IT Support team.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, Digital, API and other Microsoft technologies.
• Experience in application design and architecture Solid knowledge of Application Systems industry best practices
• Knowledge of the health industry (desirable)
