But what you might not realise is that we also deliver health assessments on behalf of the Australian Government via Bupa Medical Visa Services, for people who are applying for visas to live, work or study in Australia.
About the role
Reporting to the Centre Manager, the Team Leader in conjunction with the other Centre leaders will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Centre and will ensure efficient workflow to increase productivity and create a comfortable and a friendly environment for all BMVS customers.
We’re looking for:
We're currently looking for a Team Leader for Health Assessor and Reception teams.
Medical centre hours are between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday and weekend during peak periods, so there is an expectation you will be able to work these hours as requested across a rotating roster.
As a Team Leader your duties will include:
- The leadership and operational oversight of all Receptionist/Concierge and Health Assessor team members, planning workforce coverage in line with operational needs, providing direction and support ensuring a productive and positive work environment which aligns with the Bupa Values.
- Fosters a collaborative, professional and effective environment for the team, outlining expectations and appropriate standards of behaviour, as well as recommendation for improvement.
- Effective management of workloads prioritising key responsibilities, completing daily, weekly, monthly tasks in a timely manner, including weekly monthly reports, one on ones, completing monthly quality audits aligned to the Service Level agreements and quality outcomes.
- Maintain the team through timely recruiting, selecting, inducting, on boarding and training employees.
- Ensure all team members have the required resources available to them, providing constructive feedback, coaching, and training opportunities.
- Develop and implement effective rosters for Receptionist, Concierge and Health Assessor team members, stepping in operationally as needed in each role.
- Effectively integrate new or changing polices or procedures.
- Maintain the general administration of the Centre, for example the disposal of medical checklist, maintenance of supplies such as stationery and medical consumables.
About You:
Our successful Leaders come from a wide variety of backgrounds and work experiences. To be successful in the role, you’ll need:
- Certificate III in Pathology Collection.
- Proven experience in successfully supporting a team, including the management of work allocation processes, performance management, coaching, staff development and career development.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and influence a diverse range of conflicting priorities and multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to operate autonomously to achieve required results.
- Good time management skills, highly organised and ability to work within a structured process.
- Exceptional customer service focus, capability and delivering results to meet customer expectations.
- Well developed, written, oral and interpersonal skills with an ability to liaise, negotiate and influence stakeholders and team members to achieve outcomes
