The purpose of this job is…..
As the Senior Optimisation Manager, you’ll lead the experimentation program across Digital Health Insurance and Health Services, helping teams build advanced skills in designing, running and learning from experiments. Your work will embed experimentation into the digital operating model and support teams in delivering tests that drive incremental sales and mitigate risk to create real customer value.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with product, marketing and customer service teams to co‑create experiments, guide their implementation, measure impact and uphold best‑practice experimentation standards. Your leadership will help teams adopt experimentation faster and more confidently across the Bupa ecosystem.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the experimentation function for Health Insurance and Health Services, establishing the Centre of Excellence and champion program to uplift skills and embed best‑practice methods.
- Build organisation‑wide experimentation capability through targeted education, tools, and training.
- Own the experimentation framework, governance, tools, and targets while guiding the Conversion Rate Optimisation Managers (CROs) on experiment roadmaps and design.
- Leading the CRO guild, coaching and upskilling team members
- Drive and consolidate ongoing research to surface insights and new testing opportunities.
- Communicate plans, progress, and results clearly to Digital Sales leadership and senior stakeholders across the business.
What you’ll need to make it possible
- 4+ years leading experimentation teams within large organisations
- Expertise in co‑design, capacity‑building, experimental design, lean iteration, and impact evaluation
- Strong command of experimentation methodology, statistics, and the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Deep knowledge of automation, experimentation, personalisation, attribution, and analytics tools
- Proven analytical and evidence‑based decision‑making capability
- Strong customer‑centric mindset with the ability to empathise with varied user journeys
- Understanding of behavioural economics, persuasion, and conversion best practices, and applying them to experiment design
- Effective collaborator with product, data, engineering, and analytics teams
- Exceptional communication, organisation, and attention to detail
- Proactive, self‑motivated, and continuously learning
- Experience with experimentation platforms (e.g., Adobe Target, Optimizely, Sitespect)
- Experience with analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics
