The Senior Analyst – Strategic Roadmap Planning plays a pivotal role in elevating the performance and overall health of Bupa’s enterprise portfolio. By creating and maintaining roadmaps that deliver exceptional clarity and rich insights, this position empowers high-quality decision making at every level, including the MD, CFO, and CEO. Through collaboration with Heads of Portfolio Management, the Senior Analyst ensures that roadmaps not only capture strategic programmes and projects aligned to Bupa’s Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Objectives & Key Results (OKRs), and strategic targets, but also actively drive value delivery and strategic alignment across the organisation.
How will I help?
- Actively support the development, updating, and review of enterprise roadmaps for all portfolios in Planview
- Ensure roadmaps are current, comprehensive, and aligned to Bupa’s AOP, OKRs, and strategic objectives
- Validate that strategic programmes and projects are accurately reflected in portfolio roadmaps
- Partner with Heads of Portfolio Management to design and refine roadmaps that capture key initiatives, milestones, and value delivery
- Provide guidance and support in structuring roadmaps to enable clear tracking of progress, benefits, and strategic alignment
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions to support roadmap development and updates
- Proactively identify activities on roadmaps that are at risk (e.g., delayed, off-track, or facing resource constraints)
- Collaborate with project teams, strategy team and business units to ensure strategic alignment, resolving issues and mitigate risks
- Support the identification and management of dependencies between portfolios based on developed roadmaps
- Prepare and deliver regular reports and dashboards on roadmap status, risks, and dependencies for executive and portfolio meetings

What do I need?
The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in business, strategy, project management, technology, or a related discipline. Extensive experience in portfolio, programme, or project management within complex, matrixed organisations is essential, typically gained over five or more years in similar roles.
Expertise in developing, maintaining, and reviewing enterprise roadmaps is critical, along with a proven ability to support strategic planning and delivery. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required to ensure the accuracy and integrity of roadmap and portfolio data. Experience in identifying and managing risks and dependencies across multiple portfolios or programmes, as well as supporting regular portfolio reviews and providing actionable insights, is highly valued.
Advanced proficiency in roadmap, portfolio, and project management tools (e.g. Planview) with the capability to design clear, effective visual layouts for roadmaps and adapt templates and processes to meet evolving business needs. A proactive approach to continuous improvement is important, including identifying enhancements to roadmap processes, championing new technologies, and streamlining workflows.
