About the Centre:

Eastbrooke Ambrose Family Medical in Mackay (Powered by Bupa) is a one-stop Health Hub facility offering a comprehensive range of on-site health and medical facilities. These include a Medical Centre, Treatment Room, Pharmacy, Pathology, Paediatric Services and Physiotherapy, various Specialists and a wide range of Allied Health practitioners. 

The Opportunity:

We have a versatile, exciting and rewarding opportunity at our Mackay Medical Centre available for Medical Receptionists seeking permanent full-time work: 

• Working across a rotational roster between 7:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday (ideally 9am to 5pm though). Also open to compressed full time hours across 4 days!
• Friendly, fun and dedicated team
• Meet and greet patients, providing a great first impression
• Book and amend appointments, answering the phone, updating patient records
• Supporting the Practice Manager and clinical team with the smooth running of the practice
• Processing payments via EFTPOS, HICAPs and Medicare
• Accessing sensitive information whilst maintaining patient confidentiality
• High-end patient care; building & maintaining relationships with all clients in a friendly & warm manner

You’ll be:

Our receptionists come from a wide variety of backgrounds and work experiences. To be successful in the role, you’ll need:

• Available to work full-time, Monday to Friday – no weekends! Open to compressed 4 day week.
• Previous Reception/administration experience required - minimum 1 year. Ideally within medical field
• You're a motivated self-starter, this is a fast paced and dynamic role
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Passionate about customer service and patient care
• Organised with attention to detail
• Ability to build rapport with patients, in a cheerful, light-hearted manner
