Our Clayton care home is set within a lively community 25kms from the CBD, surrounded by a hospital, supermarket, and schools. It consists of 155 beds, with a variety of care types. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

About the Role 

As a Cleaning Supervisor (known as Housekeeping Supervisor at Bupa), you will lead a reliable and high-quality housekeeping service, ensuring the Care Home is clean and welcoming.

You’ll support with managing the housekeeping budget and ordering supplies.

Strong hands-on cleaning experience is essential for this role.

Duties: 

• Effectively lead the housekeeping function of the Care Home, ensuring the cleaning and laundry service is delivered to the highest of standards
• Ensure the Care Home is cleaned, maintained and presented to an appropriate standard 
• Assist with housekeeping budget development and purchasing function
• Assist the Regional Hospitality team to manage and supervise suppliers and external contractors, assess the quality of supplies, their performance and provide necessary feedback to ensure efficient delivery of services
• Oversee and directly manage all Cleaning and Laundry Assistants

Experience & Skills:

• Previous experience in cleaning role essential
• Demonstrated experience in managing the housekeeping budget and ordering supplies
• Prior exposure and understanding of Audits and compliance to regulatory requirements
• Capable of prioritising work within established policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comprehensive computer knowledge (Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel)
• Effective time management and organisational skills
• Experience in an Aged Care, Hospital or Hotel environment is highly advantageous
