Description & Requirements
At Bupa, purpose meets possible. Join us and help shape a future where healthcare is more connected, more personal and more human.
We’re a global healthcare leader trusted by millions and committed to helping people to live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world. Healthcare is changing, and so are we.
We’re investing in more clinics, better systems and smarter, more connected ways to help our customers. As we continue to expand our services and invest in innovation, you’ll help create a healthcare system that meets people where they are, responds to what they need and leaves them better than before. Here, your work has purpose, your voice matters and your future is full of possibility. Just imagine the impact you could make.
The purpose of this role:
We’re looking for a strategic, collaborative leader to shape how we govern, manage, and protect our third party ecosystem. As our Head of Third Party Governance, you will steer the end-to-end policy, risk, and governance activities that support our critical supplier partnerships.
As subject matter expert, you’ll be the business owner of our Third Party Governance Framework — driving the implementation of processes, systems and structures that uplift organisational capability, ensuring we remain ahead of emerging risks and meet regulatory expectations in an evolving landscape.
This is a permanent, full-time role and may be based at our Melbourne (preferred) or Sydney offices with flexible hybrid work arrangements available.
What is needed to make it possible:
- Deep third party governance expertise, with success operating as subject matter expert in complex, regulated environments.
- Strong working knowledge of CPS 230 and its implications for critical suppliers, operational risk, and governance obligations.
- Strategic capability to assess current vs. Target state maturity and lead customer centric, digitally enabled improvements across third party risk processes.
- Confidence engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, communicating risk expectations and frameworks clearly and constructively.
- Commercial, financial and business acumen, enabling well informed decisions and strong partnership with Procurement and business leaders.
- Experience leading change and continuous improvement within matrixed or global organisations where alignment and collaboration are essential.
- A proactive, integrity led and relationship focused approach, able to rapidly build trust and drive consistent adoption of governance standards.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, accounting, law, risk management, or supply chain operations, with postgraduate studies desirable
Why you’ll love it?
We support our people to be the healthiest and happiest versions of themselves. From providing initiatives that develop careers to looking after our people’s health, wellbeing and futures. Enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working, with a mix of time in the office and at home, while having plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and take your experience to the next level.
If this sounds exciting, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s shape the future of healthcare, together.
At Bupa your wellbeing, identity, and personal story are respected and valued. We are continuing to build teams that reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.
