Bupa Tamworth is a modern care home positioned in the quiet garden suburbs of Australia’s country music capital. It is close to the bustling city centre, Botanical gardens, Peel River, local parks and nearby cafes. It consists of 105 beds, with a variety of care units. About the Role
As a Gardener at one of our care homes, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds to provide a comfortable and safe environment for our residents.
This is a Part Time role 2 days a week
Duties
- Mowing of lawns, maintenance of garden beds, trimming of hedges and foliage
- Planting out and replacing as needed
- Weeding, mulching and pruning
- Fertilising, controlling pests and diseases
- Compliance with all relevant WHS procedures
Skills and Experience
- Certificate II or III in Horticulture highly regarded but not essential
- At least 2 – 3 years previous experience
- Understanding of plants, pest management and chemical handling
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience gained in a similar role
- The ability to solve problems independently
- An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
