What’s your role?
Reporting to the Experience Design Manager, the Experience Designer is responsible for designing compelling digital experiences and interactions for our customers, aligning design consistency and quality across Bupa Health Insurance's digital channel, and driving a culture of continuous improvement in the UX team.
*Please note this is a 12 month parental leave cover.
What will my day involve?
As an Experience Designer, you’ll apply customer insights to create practical, accessible design solutions that perform in production. Working within a Health Insurance product squad, you’ll focus on delivering and optimising product and marketing pages that help customers confidently navigate Health Insurance information.
You’ll work on Health Insurance products as part of a producer-enabled squad, designing customer experiences using our design system and pattern library. The role focuses on applying pre-built patterns at pace, while also evolving existing patterns and contributing new ones where gaps exist.
You’ll collaborate closely with developers, including the producer-enabled library team, to review designs and ensure alignment between design intent and what is delivered to production.
What will I bring?
- Experience as a User Experience Designer, with a portfolio demonstrating strong end-to-end UX and UI capability.
- Confident use of design systems, including applying, adapting, and contributing components and patterns when required.
- Experience conducting desktop research, user interviews, and quantitative surveys.
- Ability to work closely with developers through design reviews to ensure feasibility, accessibility, and production alignment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel.
- A proactive, self-directed approach to work.
- Strong collaboration skills, including partnering with content designers.
