Opportunity:
Healthcare Management (HCM) is embarking on a new strategic direction that involves a large program of work which spans across Health Insurance (HI) and the broader Bupa business. This program will execute the HCM strategic plan and includes large strategic initiatives and significant changes. The dedicated HCM Program Delivery and Execution team will support the ways of working for project delivery of strategic and BAU projects.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Program Delivery & Execution, the HCM Delivery Manager will partner closely with the Workstream Lead, Initiative owner/s, business leaders across Bupa HI and technology teams to deliver high quality, project management services, support and experience to drive the HCM strategic initiatives for our customers and providers.
Given the number of initiatives, the scale and impact of the change program and the timeframe, this role will be required to manage multiple projects simultaneously and therefore must be a delivery focussed leader.
What You’ll Be Doing
Here's what you can look forward to in this role:
- Engage business leaders and develop effective stakeholder relationships to understand and agree the business, customer and/or provider needs, including scope and mandatory requirements
- Delivery of agreed project scope within required timeframe, cost constraints & quality requirements
- Identify resources required and ensure resource profiles, plans and associated costs are included in the investment case alongside any benefits.
- Work with the HCM Risk and Finance Partners to prepare a Project Risk Assessment and Budget Estimation template.
- Establish and monitor appropriate project governance for each stream within the project(s) and ensure alignment with the Delivery Hub and reporting framework, including updating the Planview system.
- Where a Steering Committee is required, set up meeting cadence, prepare meeting packs and minutes ensuring actions are noted and followed up.
- Manage and monitor program delivery schedules to effectively achieve key deliverables (timing/budget/scope).
- Ensure all budget and forecast reporting is accurate, transparent, tracked and up to date
What You’ll Bring
To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally have:
- 5+ years Project Management experience, including a minimum 2 years running large and complex projects
- Formal Project Management, Agile Project Management, Six Sigma or Lean Certification (required)
- Experience running multiple projects in parallel with high complexity and multiple dependencies
- Demonstrated experience in project status reporting, scheduling, dependency management, milestone tracking techniques, financial / budget management and risk management
- Proven experience in detailed program scoping and implementation.
- Proven track record negotiating successful outcomes with Sponsors and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes at a senior level
- Proven expertise in managing multiple stakeholders and technology teams
