What’s your role?
As a Data Services Support Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in how customer insights are captured, trusted, and turned into action across Bupa ANZ. Sitting within the Customer Data and Analysis team, you’ll help deliver the data feeds that power our Net Promoter Score (NPS) and customer research programs - ensuring customer feedback is collected accurately and on time. You’ll also contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of core datasets that underpin our analytics roadmap, helping to productionise insights that shape real business decisions. This is a great opportunity to build hands‑on experience in a collaborative, agile data environment while working with modern data platforms and tools.
Please note this position is a 12-month parental leave cover.
What will my day involve?
In this role, you will:
- Work alongside the Data Services Team in the delivery of data extracts for customer research
- Support the Data Services Team in the coordination and delivery of core datasets underpinning the customer data and analysis team plan (both current and future state)
- Support the Data Services Team to test of all datasets to meet data quality standards
- Support the maintenance a range of current and future state localised data and analysis environments.
- Understand and apply appropriate coding standards and support the team to ensure documentation requirements are met for the squad
- Participate in the 2-week sprint plan for the home data services squad and other squads in line with agreed business priorities
- Provide support to the Data Services team to manage operational issues raised by IS team
- Assist with investigating and exploring upstream and downstream arising problems with speed, aware of the domino effect that can take place
What will I bring?
To be considered for this role you will hold:
- A qualification in Computer Science or related discipline/an equivalent alternative combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- 3-5 years’ experience working within in a data services environment
- Demonstrated experience working with SAS and DataBricks
- Knowledge of Cloud data platforms such as Azure and AWS desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment
- Stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate business problems into data services
- Strong planning, organising and project management skills
- Comfortability with ambiguity and change
- Strong cross functional and virtual teaming skills
- A positive, proactive attitude and consider yourself to a be a self-starter
