The opportunity
We are seeking a diligent and energetic Compliance Analyst to support our regulatory change process and join our growing APAC Compliance & Conduct team. You'll be critical In assessing regulatory change to ensure we continue to meet our obligations under the law, and maintaining up-to-date obligations registries that provide a single source of truth. You’ll have experience in compliance and regulation, enthusiasm for a dynamic and evolving environment, and love working collaboratively.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Compliance, you'll be responsible for:
- receiving and assessing regulatory change notifications for incorporation into our governance, risk and compliance system
- Maintaining compliance registers including obligations, risks and controls, and ensuring appropriate linkages
- supporting in the assessment , reporting and escalation of compliance breaches and incidents
- providing advice and guidance on the implementation of regulatory change by business stakeholders, and
- undertaking monitoring and providing reporting on compliance activity.
This role will provide compliance support across the Bupa APAC businesses, including Health Insurance, Health Care, Aged Care and Blua. A one-size-fits-all approach is rarely practicable; the right candidate will thrive in ambiguity and will need to hit the ground running with a ‘hands-on’ approach to learning the ropes.

This position is offered as permanent, full-time and may be based at our Melbourne or Sydney offices with flexible, hybrid work arrangements available. Part-time applicants considered.
To succeed in this job, you'll need:
- a relevant tertiary qualification in business, law, compliance or risk management, or a related field.
- between 1 - 5 years of professional experience, ideally working in a highly regulated environment, and experience working in financial services or healthcare will be advantageous.
- a good understanding of compliance, obligations, regulatory change and incident management
- experience in operating GRC systems
- strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
- a curious mind with the ability to ask 'why?'
