The role purpose.
We have a permanent opportunity for a Chief Architect to join us. You’ll provide enterprise‑level architectural and practice leadership across the broader architecture function. The role is accountable for shaping enterprise architecture direction, influencing strategy and investment decisions, and ensuring architectural intent is realised through practical, executable outcomes. In addition, the role holds accountability for the effectiveness, maturity and sustainability of the architecture practice, including governance, capability development, standards, and ways of working. Acting as a trusted advisor to business and technology executives, the Chief Architect partners closely with product, engineering and delivery leaders, and provides leadership to the architecture community. The role has line accountability for the Architecture Practice and sets clear expectations for “what good looks like” across enterprise and solution architecture. The role enables a hybrid architecture operating model by turning strategy into decision‑ready direction, making trade‑offs explicit, and operating a connected decision system that allows delivery teams to move quickly without creating long‑term complexity. Enterprise Architect to join our Technology team. You’ll provide enterprise‑level architectural leadership for an assigned domain or portfolio. The role is accountable for influencing strategy, defining architectural direction, shaping investment pathways, and stewarding architectural decisions in alignment with enterprise strategy. The Enterprise Architect operates as a trusted advisor to business and technology executives, partners closely with product, engineering and delivery leaders, and ensures that architectural intent is realised through practical, executable solutions over time.
What you’ll need to make it possible
- At least 10+ years’ experience as an architecture practitioner, with preference for experience across the span of enterprise, solution and engineering.
- Appropriate experience as an Enterprise Architect within a large corporate environment or in a top tier consulting practice.
- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline or equivalent professional experience (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering).
- Professional qualifications – appropriate certifications in architecture practice, analysis and design.
- Proficient in architectural and domain specific industry frameworks (TOGAF, ITIL, NIST, CIS)
- Experience working in regulated environments and translating requirements into architectural direction
- Excellent communication skills, with experience engaging successfully at executive and board level.
- Experience working within matrix structures, with demonstrated ability to broker outcomes effectively and collaboratively with colleagues and peers.
- Experience working with architecture design, modelling & documentation toolsets, ideally Ardoq / Hopex.
- Experience managing budgets, planning and optimisation.
