The Opportunity
Are you looking to take your experience as a Carer in a new direction? As a Care Therapist, you will gain training under the guidance of allied health professionals to support implementation of the residents plan of care by hosting group and individual therapy sessions, supporting telehealth assessments and undertaking other general Carer activities as required.
You’ll join a supportive, collaborative and caring team to make a positive impact to the lives of our residents and participate in continuous improvement activities within the care home as requested by the Clinical management team.

Our delightful and modern care home is situated in the green, leafy suburb of St Ives on the Upper North Shore of Sydney. Conveniently positioned on Mona Vale road the home is a central location to connect with the Northern Beaches, Wahroonga and Sydney CBD. It consists of 98 beds, with a variety of care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.
The role
- Telehealth consultations: Be the conduit that connects the resident to the Physiotherapist, Dietitian and other Allied Health Practitioners (AHP) via Telehealth using MS Teams.
- Individualised Resident Programs/Interventions: Provide AHP prescribed interventions/therapies such as an exercise program that is supervised by the Physiotherapist.
- Exercise Group/s: Take residents through general exercise sessions such as a seated exercise class or walking groups and will be equipped with a variety of exercises
- Wellness Hub Meetings: Participate in interdisciplinary team collaboration to provide the Care Team with a deeper understanding of each referred resident’s clinical situation and
- Leecare reporting: Complete progress notes following any Telehealth consult and chart any completed exercise programs.

Skills and Experience
- Min Certificate 3 qualification in either; Ageing, Individual Support or Disability
- Experience in ensuring safe medication administration, best practice wound care and clinical support for residents within the community
- Ability to work as part of a tight-knit team and complete the tasks delegated to you safely and effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong understanding of Resident Rights, and Aged Care Accreditation Standards and their Outcomes
