The purpose of this job is…..
Provide administration support for the Medical and Health Advisory Services (MHAS) for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA). The contract with DVA covers a national network of more than 180 Bupa health professionals providing clinical advice, communication and quality assurance activities to DVA delegates in the Health and Compensation Sections. This assists Defence veterans and their families gain access to benefits within the DVA legislative framework.
DVA’s purpose is to support the wellbeing of those who serve, or have served, in the defence of our nation and their families. Bupa partner with DVA to assist them in this purpose and extend our existing relationship with the ADF contract and community. The Business Support Lead will action any roster changes, workforce planning, administration and supporting the day to day operations of the DVA team.
Responsibilities include:
- The role will manage the implementation of one centralised workforce planning capabilities (Dimensions) ensuring that resourcing within DVA is being best utilised to meet peaks in demand via the facilitation of regular forecasting meetings with Senior Partnership Managers and People Team members.
- Rostering changes entered into Dimensions for planned and unplanned leave. Payroll preparations and reconciliations, investigating and escalating payroll queries as required, managing leave.
- Additional co-ordination and administration of a diverse range of support services, activities and initiatives across the DVA business in liaison with the Senior Partnership Managers will also be undertaken.

What you’ll need to make it possible
- Cert III in Business Administration or equivalent in experience
- Previous work experience in an administration role
- Previous experience in leading and managing others
- Previous experience in rostering and the use of Dimensions or payroll systems
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Evidence of excellent time management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of administration requirements in Health Care industry
