The Accounting Manager role (12 month fixed term project role) will lead key finance process transformation initiatives within the Dental finance team and play a pivotal role in reshaping our financial processes. Working closely with the Group Practice Finance Manager, the role will partner with Senior Leaders, SMEs, project sponsors and key stakeholders to ensure projects and change initiatives meet project and change objectives and are delivered on time, to scope, on budget and are effectively embedded into BAU activities.
How will I help?
- Spearhead the analysis, design, and implementation of significant changes to financial processes and workflows
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to support the new financial processes
- Develop and document standard operating procedures for all new financial processes
- Train and support finance team members in new procedures
- Optimise existing systems to enhance efficiency and reporting capabilities
- Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of dental practice reconciliations including bank, accounts receivable & sales ledgers
- Ensure and maintain the integrity of all transactional dental practice data
- Oversee the preparation of monthly journals and maintain control of the business’ accounting records
- Maintain the Treasury function of the business including: ▪ ensuring appropriate level of cash available in transactional accounts
- Maintenance of all aspects of transactions banking access – new accounts, new users, act as intermediary between our practices and our financial institutions
- Oversee the preparation of monthly accounts including P&L’s & cashflows including variance analysis.

What do I need?
We are seeking a forward-thinking Accounting Manager with strong leadership capabilities and a proven ability to drive process improvement projects across complex financial environments. The ideal candidate will bring strategic insight and sound judgment, with a deep understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting.
A tertiary qualification in Business or Commerce, along with CA or CPA accreditation, is essential. You will have experience shaping and implementing KPIs, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and aligning financial processes with broader business objectives. A strong grasp of finance policy frameworks and a meticulous approach to governance are critical to success in this role.
Exceptional communication skills are key, both in leading high-performing teams and in engaging effectively with stakeholders across the business. You’ll bring a collaborative mindset and the ability to build trusted partnerships, while also influencing outcomes and driving initiatives forward with confidence.
